For a veggie-packed breakfast, try this recipe from Maria for a fresh smoothie bowl. Other hardy greens, like spinach and Swiss chard, could be used in place of the fresh kale.

Tropical Smoothie Bowl
- ½ banana
- 1 apple cut in half and cored
- ¾ cup peach slices fresh or frozen
- 1 cup fresh kale
- ½ avocado
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1 ½ - 2 cups filtered water
Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
Pour the smoothie in a bowl and top it with oats, strawberries, chia seeds and coconut flakes.
Makes 1 or 2 smoothies.
