You can mix and match to taste and/or based on the ingredients you have on hand.
Here is a handy substitutions table:

-Milk (or non-dairy alternatives)

-Mango or Pineapple -Berries (local!) -Fruits (local!) -Cucumber or Zucchini |
-Vanilla extract
-Cocoa powder -Chia/flax/hemp seeds -Protein powder -Cinnamon -Ginger -Lemon or lime juice -Cilantro or Mint (with mango/pineapple/peach) -Maple syrup or honey |
Green Smoothie Formula
Ingredients
- 1 cup greens
- 1 cup liquid
- 1 banana sliced (or 2/3 to 1 cup of other fruit)
- 1 Tbsp nut butter
- Season or boost to taste
