Green Smoothie Formula

You can mix and match to taste and/or based on the ingredients you have on hand.

Here is a handy substitutions table:

Greens Liquids Fruit (fresh or frozen) Seasonings/Boosters
-Spinach

-Kale

-Swiss chard

-Lettuce

-Broccoli

-Bok choy

-Milk (or non-dairy alternatives)

-Green Tea

-Juice

-Water or ice cubes

-Kefir or Yogurt

-Banana

-Mango or Pineapple

-Berries (local!)

-Fruits (local!)

-Cucumber or Zucchini

-Vanilla extract

-Cocoa powder

-Chia/flax/hemp seeds

-Protein powder

-Cinnamon

-Ginger

-Lemon or lime juice

-Cilantro or Mint (with mango/pineapple/peach)

-Maple syrup or honey

Green Smoothie Formula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup greens
  • 1 cup liquid
  • 1 banana sliced (or 2/3 to 1 cup of other fruit)
  • 1 Tbsp nut butter
  • Season or boost to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth and creamy.
