Claire’s Green Smoothie

This recipe comes from CSA member Claire, who says: “The other day I noticed you were looking for a good green smoothie recipe. Here is one I make a lot and find refreshing.”

Claire's Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • lots of greens (kale, spinach, or any greens besides mustard green, bok choy, and arugula)
  • a good handful curly leaf parsley
  • a good chunk cucumber (about 3 inches)
  • 4-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup orange juice (depends on quantity of other ingredients and your blending machine of choice)

Instructions

  1. Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Claire's notes: "Best a bit chilled. Quantities aren't exact because I have never measured them - I just throw in handfuls. Adjust all of them to taste. Sometimes if there is room I include a fruit like a pear or a kiwi or half of an apple. Kiwi is my favourite. Am sure lime juice would be a good addition too."
