Steamed Parsnips with Sweet Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 large parsnips sliced lengthwise into 1/2 inch thick strips
- ¼ c. butter
- 1 T. maple syrup or honey
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Dash cinnamon (optional)
Instructions

Steam parsnips for approximately 10 to 15 minute depending on size. When finished transfer to a serving dish.

Melt butter in a small pot over medium heat. remove the pot from heat and stir in the maple syrup or honey. I added a dash of cinnamon as well.

Pour the butter sauce over the parsnips. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
