Kohlrabi Tzatziki

Green kohlrabi.Crew member Barb created the following fabulous tzatziki which replaces the traditional cucumber with kohlrabi. I wonder what other veggies would work in this recipe…!

Barb writes, “I used Liberte Mediterranean Yogourt (10% baby!) but if you choose to use a lighter yogourt you will need to strain it in a cheesecloth for an hour or so to remove the liquid.”

Kohlrabi Tzatziki


  • one part grated kohlrabi
  • two parts yogourt
  • lemon juice
  • lots of garlic
  • sea salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients!

Recipe Notes

Garnish with chopped parsley if you have it. Serve with pita, salad greens, and carrot sticks. On a cool day, toast pita (lightly brushed with olive oil) in the oven.
