Fried Green Tomatoes

This recipe was shared by CSA member Meg, during a week that Emily was offering up a lot of green tomatoes at pick up. Sounds delicious! This is Meg’s method:

“Fried green tomatoes are pretty tasty–slice 3/8 inch thick, coat slices with cornmeal seasoned with salt and pepper, and fry on medium heat on both sides in a pan with a small amount of oil of your choice until golden brown and soft but not mushy. A nice side dish or can be put into a sandwich with feta or mozzarella and some of the Root Radical greens.”
